Bodh’s vision is to collectively build a condusive environment wherein children can transcend the limitations of their specific contexts and become empowered and enlightened individuals rooted in and oriented towards collective living. In the process of contributing to the same, the communities evolve themselves into learning communities.
Bodh is a registered non-profit organization working for the education of children from marginalized backgrounds for the last 33 years. In contemporary context education is the stepping stone for realization of any aim in one’s life. Educational inequity lies at the heart of disempowerment of individuals and communities in terms of access, participation, and realization of potentials, individually and collectively. In India still, the socioeconomic background plays the most important role in determining access to good education and learning outcomes even though that ‘Right to Education’ has become a fundamental right of every – child. (Some data is needed access, girl child and quality 3 to 4 percent children are out of school as per annual status report 0f 2018 and around 70 finish releasing out of 100 children enrolled (Hindu for January 2019) every report on quality and learning attainments outlives that there it serious cases of quality in the country feel that these problems are systemic hence they require institutions that can deliver equitable quality education to the most marginalized communities with accountability.
Only such institutions can lead the process of real reform and innovations which respond appropriately to the contexts and need of the children and communities. Community Bodhshala (Schools) have been evolved with communities taking a lead role and where all are committed to ensuring equitable quality education for all children by bringing best methods and practices to the most marginalized sections. we attempt to evolve such institutions and develop innovations from there which facilitate the process of larger reform in the mainstream system through innovations through partnerships and address the real need to bridge the educational inequity.

In order to make impact at scale, the learning from Bodhshalas are utilized to strengthen government school system and state educational policies and institutions

Till now with conscientious efforts Bodh has at least reached 600000 children directly and indirectly and with its community-based model and approach it has directly engaged 100 communities in a continuous manner through various programmes.
